You'll come across items, NPCs, and mysterious statues to help you but you'll have to figure out just how exactly they'll aide you in building and defending your Kingdom.

Kingdom: New Lands builds upon the award-winning gameplay and mystery of Kingdom by introducing an abundance of new content to the IGF-nominated title while maintaining the simplicity and depth that legions of monarchs have come to experience and enjoy. Rulers will need all the strength of their subjects to sail away and find new kingdoms in these New Lands. The Cities expert team of mages and scientists help to ensure the cities safety on the strange continent, usually being able to counter and ward off the Unfortune and other dangers to its safety.Tales spread of far off isles with mysteries waiting to be discovered.

The City Council of Silent operates an efficient democratic government free from the rest of the world’s politics. Settlements in the Shining Lands belong to no government, the closest thing being the City of Silent with a population of more than 2 million diverse people from all races and cultures. However, when one sets foots into the wildlands, they are at any time pray to the Unfortune which only seems to benefit The continents native inhabitants. Many of the bigger towns in the Shining Lands have been laced and double laced in intricately weaved wards to protect them from the Unfortune. Planes and boats crash, spells misfire, devices short circuit. Most doings of people inside the Unfortune go awry. One of these forces is called “the Unfortune” it appears as a rolling hazy mist, sometimes only the size of a building, sometimes the size breadth of an entire forest. Settlements and cities only crop up on the coast as there seems to be forces at work to stop civilization from encroaching deeper into the continent. It is blurred in satellite by a shining static, the world’s top mages work tirelessly to divine the unnatural origin of the island to no avail.Īs of 2022 The Shining Lands are still not fully explored. Developments in electrical and magical technology illuminated almost nothing about the mysterious nature of the Continent. The years went by and settlements were founded and maintained by the very brave or very greedy.
From Mammals to Birds to Trees to Grasses it was impossible that this life was from under the ocean. What they did find was thousands of species of never before seen flora and fauna. Settlers, Explorers, Adventurers, and Tourists from all nations flocked to the new frontier in search of new lands and riches. This Tectonic plate known scientifically as the Ursa Plate, over the course of 2 weeks slowly but surely rose from the warm and clear waters and came to be known by the International Community as “the Shining Lands” as a mysterious glimmer lays over it when viewed from above. The course of history in Boia would be forever changed when in 1922 FA an entire tectonic plate was raised by an unknown magical force out of the Inner Sea.
